Our Friday Senior Shoutout goes to Dontae Antelope!
When Dantae was a girl she wanted to be a lawyer. She is an Early Bird and her favorite movie is Coraline. Her strangest phobia is Trypophobia, which is an intense aversion or disgustwhen viewing images of repetitive patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps. Dontae says the smartest person she knows is her mom. Congratulations Dontae, you worked so hard and paid off! Way to go!

The Arapahoe Youth Boys Track Team (5th & 6th Grades) are your WRCAA Track Conference Champions — scoring an impressive 144 points as a team! 💪🔥
We had several standout performances that helped lead the way:
🥇 Santiago Acebo – 1st in the 1600m & 800m, 2nd in the 400m
🥈 CJ Iceman – 2nd in Long Jump & 200m
🥇 Robert C’Bearing – 1st in the 400m, 2nd in the 100m
🥉 Lane Ternan – 3rd in the 800m, 4th in the 1600m
🥈 Emmitt Troyer – 2nd in Discus, 3rd in Shot Put
And the team dominated the relays:
🏃♂️ 1st in the 4x100 relay
🏃♂️ 1st in the Medley Relay
🏃♂️ 2nd in the 4x200 relay

5th Grade Black Rock Field Trip
📣 5th Grade Field Trip Update!
Our 5th graders are off enjoying their field trip to Blackrock today! 🚌✨ Due to a change in transportation, they will be back at school before buses leave this afternoon.

Last night Kenya Rhodes was honored by County 10 as Arapaho Charter High School's Student of the year. In addition to a framed certificate presented by County 10 CEO Will Hill, Kenya also received a $500 scholarship from Contango, the major sponsor of the event. Her family was on-hand to witness the proud moments. What an honor for Kenya - ACHS is very proud of our Student of the Year!

Espi says the three most important things for someone to have a happy life are self-care, an education, and God. If she had a free plane ticket to go anywhere in the world it would be the Swiss Alps in Switzerland. When she was younger she wanted to be a doctor. If Esperanza could be any animal it would be a horse and if she could have any superpower it would be healing! Congratulations Espi, and best of luck on your next Venture!!!
Our Fourth Grade Falcons Took Learning Outdoors!
Our 4th graders recently enjoyed a fun and educational field trip to Black Rock Field Camp! While exploring the great outdoors, students learned how to identify local wildlife and their tracks, discovered aquatic life in the area, and gained a hands-on understanding of the water cycle.
They even got to taste herbal teas made from native plants like wild rose, wild mint, and serviceberry! For lunch, students enjoyed buffalo burgers—a unique treat that added to the adventure.
The excitement didn’t stop there—students tried out an atlatl (spear thrower) Fourth graders used a 7-foot tree saw. Each student brought home a tree “cookie” as a special souvenir from the experience.

When Shaylena was younger she planned on going into the Marines.If she could relive one day for the rest of her life, it would be june 25th, 2022, which was a day for of great memories! The song that currently gets stuck in Shaylena's hea"d is "would you" by Marvinbeats, 22gfay, lil maru, and 22diegs. If Shay had to pick between teleporting and flying she would chose Teleporting, so she could get to work without walking! If Shaylena was given the chance to time travel to the past or future, she would choose the past, so she coul see her dad again and tell him that she loves and misses him. And tell him that he’s was the best father she ever had! Way to Go Shaylena! We can't wait to see you get that diploma!

Zona's celebrity crush is NI-KI from ENHYPEN. The song that currently gets stuck in her head is "Brought the heat back" by ENHYPEN. The three things that Zona is grateful for is her mom, her grandma and her two brothers! Congratulations Zona! Way to go! We can't wait to see what you do next!

Jessica is a proud multi-sport athlete, competing in Athletics, Basketball, Bocce, and Snowshoeing. She’s known for giving 110% in every competition and being a standout leader on and off the field!
At the 2025 State Summer Games, Jessica’s leadership truly shined. Her nominator shared:
“She was willing to try new things during SSG, with Fit 5 and the health screenings. She is a great competitor, and she encourages her teammates to take chances and try new things!”

End-of-the-Year Bowling Fun!
Our 3rd/4th Grade Special Education & Life Skills department wrapped up the year with a fun-filled bowling trip! Students had a blast celebrating their hard work, and our amazing staff made sure it was a day to remember. HoHou to everyone who helped make this a special experience for our students!

If Quiana could be any animal it would be a turtle, because she says they're beautiful! Quiana is a night owl, and her favorite thing to do in her free time is to sleep and watch movies. The class she feels she has excelled the most in is Math. The three things that Quiana is most grateful for are her parents, her culture, and her Papa's cooking! Congratulations Quiana, way to work hard on your goals and finish the year strong!!!
Language Learning in Kindergarten!
Ms. Davis’s Kindergarten class has been working hard with Teacher Mary Ann and Claudette to practice their Arapaho introductions—and they’re doing an amazing job!
These young learners also showed off their skills by reciting numbers in Arapaho in a variety of ways. We’re so proud of their effort in keeping the language alive and strong.

This week, our Kindergarten students wrapped up their learning about the Buffalo by writing and illustrating their very own books. Each student created a special story to showcase what they’ve learned—and they couldn’t wait to share them with others!
