Monday, we were honored to have Neiwoo Mary Ann Duran lead a heartfelt Veterans Day presentation at our school, paying tribute to those who have served. In a special gesture, she gifted star quilts to recognize the dedication and service of our two military teachers, Mr. Hunter and Mr. King, as well as our respected elders, John Goggles and Alberta Goggles. We are grateful for the sacrifices made by all our veterans and for this meaningful opportunity to celebrate their contributions to our community and our country.

Dontae Antelope was nominated as the Arapaho Charter High School student of the week by Darci Holbert!
A junior at ACHS, Dontae is the daughter of Linda Headley. In her first year at Charter she has risen to the top with both her academics and her citizenship at school. Her nominating teacher writes “Dontae is a diligent student and is a wonderful addition to class. She has a great attitude and is always willing to help other students. She does a nice job of balancing school and other responsibilities.” Teachers and peers recognize her kind disposition and ready smile as a positive and uplifting component of the overall environment at ACHS. What’s more, she is on track to graduate in May!
In her high school career, Dontae is currently active at ACHS with the school district’s Food Distribution program, and has participated in music performance in previous years. While in another district she was recognized as a Student of the Month, and clearly those qualities for which she was recognized continue to be a part of her persona at Charter. When not in school Dontae enjoys cooking, hanging out with family, and listening to the music of Suicide Boys. After graduation she plans to pursue her CNA license and attend Job Corps for Nursing. Way to go, Dontae!
Linda Headley and are the proud parents of Dontae.
