Arapaho Charter High School honors Shawna Gardner as our Student of the Week!
Shawna is an absolute rockstar of a student, athlete, and human being! The daughter of Ben Gardner and Drisella Durgin, she is a senior at ACHS and a Senior Class Representative to the Warrior Council – ACHS’ student government. She is a regular fixture on the school’s 4.0 GPA Honor Roll and an accomplished athlete as well. “Shawna has a perfect 100% in my class,” writes one nominating teacher. “She is a key member of the school’s Girl’s Basketball team and a member of our Student council as well.” Indeed, if there’s something to be involved with at ACHS you’ll always find Shawna at the heart of it.
In this, her senior year, Shawna has been a leader on both the Volleyball and Girls Basketball teams playing setter and point guard, respectively. She is a leader in everything she takes on, and carries herself with a quiet confidence that fellow students just naturally gravitate to. Her winning smile, academic dedication, and personal strength make her a force to be reckoned with and will serve her well in the lifetime that lies in front of her. Outside of school Shawna love to play basketball and volleyball, as well as hang out with her close-knit family. After she graduates in May she plans to pursue education, and ultimately a career, in Nursing. She is considering attending Wind River Job Corps or Central Wyoming College for that very thing. We’re proud of you, Shawna; congrats!

🍎🍂 Preschool Strudel Fun! 🥐🎉
On Friday, our preschoolers put on their little chef hats and got busy in the kitchen! 👩🍳👨🍳 They chopped apples and plums, mixed in sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla, and carefully rolled everything up in flaky puff pastry. The result? Delicious homemade strudel! 😋✨

🚍 Shoutout to Our School Bus Drivers! 🚍
You are often the first smiling face our students see in the morning and the last before they arrive home. Through rain, snow, and long days, you ensure our kids get where they need to be—always with patience, care, and dedication. #SCHOOLHEROES
On behalf of the coaches of FCSD #38, I want to give a special thank you to our bus drivers. Your commitment doesn’t go unnoticed—staying late to drive our athletes home after practices and games, then waking up early to do it all over again. Your dedication means the world to our students, families, and community.
Hohou! / Thank you! 💛

ACHS Students Explore CSU!
On Wednesday afternoon, ACHS students traveled to Fort Collins, CO, to tour Colorado State University. To make the experience even more engaging, students participated in a scavenger hunt challenge to navigate the campus, giving them a hands-on feel for student life at CSU.
This interactive visit allowed students to explore independence, campus resources, and the overall college environment in a fun and exciting way.
Thank you, CSU.

ACHS Students Explore Future Pathways at LCCC!
Wednesday morning, ACHS students joined other area high schools for Pathways Day at Laramie County Community College. Students were grouped by their program interests and had the opportunity to dive deeper into what each field of study offers. LCCC staff guided them through the application process, scholarships, and financial assistance options.
A highlight of the day was one of our students taking a strong interest in welding. She was able to explore LCCC’s welding program and see firsthand the opportunities available in that field.
Students also toured the campus, got a glimpse of dorm life, and enjoyed a provided lunch while exploring their future possibilities.
A big thank you to LCCC for hosting such a valuable experience for our students! #PathwaysDay #FutureOpportunities #ACHSatLCCC

Our ACHS Senior Recognition Game is Next Friday February, 28th. We will be raising awareness for #MMIP, please wear RED to support this cause, and come out to recognize our Seniors.
